Hey guys, apologies for being MIA recently on the blogging front (life stuff which I will explain in another post), but I am back with a few posts lined up for you between now and my return from Corfu. In this instalment of the ‘Wellness Edit’, there is a little lifestyle and body well being products. Check out what I have recently been using, and some I’m in the middle of, in preparation for being summer ready…

Zero Water Filtration Jug
There are water filters, and then there are Zero Water filters. Blow me do they suck up some impurities, leaving clean, fresh tasting water! Unlike other water filters that perform 2-stage filtration, this filter has a 5-stage process (see details on the filter below).
The jug I have holds 1.7 litres, and fits in standard UK fridge doors. With its sealed lid and reservoir, it allows the pouring of already filtered water, without spilling water that’s still filtering.
The Zero Water filter removes 99.6% of total dissolved solids from your tap water, along with 99% of all Fluoride.
ZEROWATER 5-STAGE DUAL ION-EXCHANGE FILTER FEATURES:
- Certified to reduce Lead, Chromium, & Mercury
- Premium 5-Stage Dual-Ion Exchange filtration system
- Ion-Exchange system that removes virtually all dissolved solids in your water
- The FDA requires the TDS level in PURIFIED bottled water to reach 000-010ppm. ZeroWater is the only filter in its class to achieve this level.
To see how/what is removed from your tap water via this filtration system, check it out here.
Myself and Si really enjoyed the clean fresh taste we got from our jug every time, and having been on a fitness/health kick for the last couple of months, the super fresh water was needed and enjoyed a plenty. Our filter gave us super clean, pure water for about 7 weeks, which is almost twice as long as our usual water filter. We now need to invest in some more for our jug, as we really notice a difference going back to our old water filtration jug/filters.

Liquid Health – Skin, Hair, Nails (Update)
So, you guys might have seen these collagen shots in my last wellness edit but if not, head over for all the info.
I started taking one of these each day in February, finishing my 3 month supply in May, and found a massive difference in the condition and strength of my nails. My hair seemed to grow a little faster than usual, and although I use good products, I swear LQ helped with the condition of it. Also, my skin has been far less dry than usual, even though I have gone through the menopause and am taking HRT meds.
These taste fine making it easy to take on their own, or by whacking in your morning smoothie if you prefer. I would recommend trying Liquid Health, they do a range of supplement shots for different health needs, and I would love to try out the joint care version for the winter months, to see if it helps my arthritis.
Fountain (by Deciem) The Energy Molecule
Having Fibromyalgia, one of the symptoms is fatigue, not just ‘tiredness’, but a feeling of complete exhaustion. With Fibromyalgia, sufferers have tense muscles that use up so much of the body’s energy (even during sleep!), plus we are usually Vitamin B12 deficient. I always find my fatigue is worse in winter, when my condition is at its worst, so started using this to see if it would help. I am now on my 2nd bottle and it is a supplement I do not want to be without!
Contains Vitamin B12, Hyaluronic Acid & Creatine
The Energy Molecule is cruelty free, nut free and suitable for vegans. The liquid is a shocking red colour, and has a bit of a sharp flavour with a hint of orange. I actually love it on its own, but you can add to a fave juice.
Ingredients : Water, sweetener xylitol, Vitamin B12 complex (maltodextrin, cyanocobalamin), preservative citric acid, creatine monohydrate, natural flavour, thickener xanthan gum, preservative potassium sorbate, hyaluronic acid.
After just one week, my energy levels started to remain constant all day, and I am really pleased with the help this supplement provides. I usually take one 5ml dose every morning which keeps my energy levels steady through the day. If fatigue/energy levels are super low, I take another dose around lunch time. For me it is a must-have for all those that suffer chronic fatigue, busy people who hit energy slumps during their day, plus anyone working out/on a fitness programme that needs an energy boost.
Beauty Caffe – Beauty Locks Hot Chocolate
When I was offered to try a hot chocolate drink that was not only low calorie, but contained supplements to help care for my hair, skin & nails, I thought why the heck not?! It usually takes 3 months usage of a supplement to really notice a difference. Although, this is a 30 day programme, so if I do notice a change, I will fill you guys in further down the line.
Check out the vitamins this contains below, it’s rammed! Plus, it is also low in fat but high in fibre, including a reasonable amount of protein per dose too.
It makes a nice warm, but light drink, and making with water just off the boil, I also add a little milk as it is quite strong. I think Beauty Caffe have created something a bit different here, which I like. Rather than a separate shot, you can easily work these nutrients into your day replacing that coffee or a fattening hot choc. Right, I’m off to make a mug now…
A once-a-day range of products that deliver, not only with really fab protection for your skin, but helpful to those who suffer prickly heat, and all still allowing an amazing tan. There are products for the body as well as face and other specific areas, including the hair/scalp, with good protection factors ranging from SPF15 right up to 50+. They come in different formulas too, depending on your needs, with many of the range also suitable for super sensitive skins.
From early spring to late autumn, I apply a facial SPF from the brand everyday, and to my body/hair when I am going to be outside. I am never without several different products from Ultrasun, not only have I received products from the brand, but I also spend my money on the products too, as to me, they really are the biz!
Please, always remember to protect your skin with a good SPF, your skin and you will thank you for it as you age! I just wish these were around in my 20’s/30’s as I cannot praise Ultrasun enough. It is the only SPF brand I use on my skin now as it is super easy and works. If you’re a newbie to the brand, check out these posts to find out more info on their products.
Okay, so thats it for my health edit for a short while, but there are a few posts on the way which I hope you will also enjoy. Have fun in the sun wherever/whatever you are doing, and try to take care of your wellbeing both inside and out!
